The steel frame. Your glazier cuts and sets the glass to the drawing that ships with it. In Portland and Vancouver we supply the glass and set it ourselves.
Nothing is cut before you approve the drawing. The approved drawing is what both sides are holding.
The backing is not ours to supply. It only affects looks: every ⅛″ of backing you leave out adds ⅛″ of shadow around the glass.
| Backing you choose | Reveal it gives |
|---|---|
| ¾″ | ⅜″ |
| ½″ | ⅝″ |
| ¼″ | ⅞″ |
| ⅛″ | 1″ |
Thirty by sixty is the narrow-wall piece. It fits the wall beside a door, the pier between two windows, and the end of a hallway — places where a wider frame would crowd the trim and a shorter one would look stranded. At five feet tall it reflects a person from roughly the knee up, so it works as a dressing mirror without being a full-length one. It is also the first size in the collection that leans convincingly: stood on the floor against a wall it reads as a floor mirror, and a floor mirror ships complete because nothing has to be hung.
Every piece in the collection uses the same member. One leg stands off the wall, the other lies flat against it, and the glass rests down inside the L on the back leg — so the room sees only the ⅛″ edge of the standing leg while the frame stands 1½″ proud of the wall.
| Member | Dimension |
|---|---|
| Standing leg, off the wall | 1½″ |
| Back leg, along the wall | 1½″ |
| Material thickness | ⅛″ |
| Edge visible head on | ⅛″ |
| Frame, outside | 30 × 60″ |
| Steel weight, before glazing | about 19 lb |
Glass for the F.03 is cut to 29½ × 59½″ — the frame opening less ¼″ overall, which leaves ⅛″ of clearance on each side. Who supplies it depends on where the piece is going and whether it hangs.

Powder coat, matte black or warm white. Corners are mitered at 45° on a fiber laser, welded by hand and ground flush, so no seam and no weld bead is visible at the joint — which is the whole reason the frame reads as one continuous line of steel rather than four pieces meeting. Cut, welded and finished in Vancouver, Washington.
Made to order, so nothing is stocked and nothing is cut before you approve the drawing. Transit damage and any mismatch with the approved drawing are covered, freight both ways, reported within 48 hours.
Same 1½″ angle, same corners, same finish — only the proportion changes. Price follows the length of steel in the perimeter, which is why the square is the least expensive piece and the six-footer the most. Any size is made to order; these four are the catalogue.
| Piece | Frame | Shape | Frame only |
|---|---|---|---|
| F.01 | 36 × 48″ | portrait, the smallest | $850 |
| F.02 | 40 × 40″ | square, the least expensive | $775 |
| F.04 | 24 × 72″ | full length | $1,000 |
Every dimension, tolerance and finish is on the specification page — the reference to hand a glazier or put in a drawing set.
